Social Emotional Learning: Rising K-2
Class Description
In this course, students will explore social and emotional growth through a variety of engaging activities and discussions. Students will learn about their emotions, how to express them in healthy ways, and how to manage them effectively. They will also learn about empathy, kindness, and respect for others, as well as communication skills such as active listening and problem-solving. Through interactive lessons, games, and role-playing exercises, students will develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships with others. They will learn strategies for building positive relationships, resolving conflicts, and working collaboratively with others. Throughout the course, students will have opportunities to reflect on their learning and set personal goals for growth. By the end of the course, students will have increased self-awareness and social-emotional skills that they can apply in their daily lives both in and out of school. July 17-20, Monday-Thursday, 1-2:30pm $300 (Once you register, we will send you an invoice that you can use for payment from Learning Acceleration Grant or pay self pay directly to Beacon.) The fee also includes a individual pre-course parent meeting to discuss goals for your child.
